Is the COVID Vaccine safe?

Are you concerned about having the COVID vaccine? You have heard about possible side effects and you are worried about the long-term effects?

Well as we say we live only once and in the end of the day it’s your body and you have the right to say no. This doesn’t mean that You or me we are “anti-vaxxer” or we do believe in these conspiracy theories that people are branding out there. If you say no to the COVID Vaccine, it will simply mean that you’re exercising your rights to make a decision about what you put into your body especially when it is not clear what are the long-term side effects.

Effectively, the preliminary data shows that there is a concern about the COVID vaccine. Is it possibly because that it was rushed to market without the normal and adequate safety testing period, which should include long-term testing?

It is now known that many people have experienced reactions to the vaccine, and we are still waiting to see the long-term effects of the vaccine. The long terms of the vaccine are unpredictable simply because it is unlike no other vaccine on the market today.

It is a fact that we are right in the middle of a pandemic and yes, we’re all tired of the quarantines and lockdowns and just want life to get back to normal. We all feel that we had enough. There are things you can do, however, to protect yourself against COVID without getting the vaccine.

As a Surgeon, I believe that it is part of the Doctor’s duty of care to inform and educate the patient. You as a patient you have the right to speak up and have a voice.
